Barefoot Wine presents One Beach. A film about creativity, optimism and having fun cleaning our beaches around the world. Directed by Jason Baffa and focusing on the issues of marine plastic pollution and possible solutions.

Edward Gregr, Marine Ecologist, UBC and PacMARA
Edward is a marine ecologist interested in species at risk - where they live, and how they interact with their environment - and how spatial models can support ecosystem-based management. He has served as a Director of the Pacific Marine Analysis and Research Association since 2007. PacMARA is a dedicated to advancing evidence-based, informed decision-making in the pursuit of sustainable oceans.

Jill Dwyer, Manager of Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup - Vancouver Aquarium
The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, presented by Loblaw Companies Limited, is about removing shoreline litter to help create healthy waters for everyone, including the wildlife and communities that depend on them. A conservation initiative of the Vancouver Aquarium and WWF, the Shoreline Cleanup is one of the largest direct action conservation programs in Canada and aims to promote understanding of shoreline litter issues by engaging Canadians to rehabilitate shoreline areas through cleanups.

Surfrider Foundation is a global non-profit environmental organization focused on issues facing our oceans, waves, and beaches through conservation, activism, research and education.

Local programs include:
Rise About Plastics: An outreach program focused on reducing single use plastics to prevent them from entering our oceans.

The Snowrider Project: An outreach program to educate mountain lovers about the importance if keeping it clean upstream and keeping litter & pollutants out of our water systems.

Blue Water Task Force: Our volunteer run water testing program to test water samples from swimming beaches in the Vancouver area.
